Getting started: your first hour
New to AegisRO2? This is what your first hour looks like, with links to the Wiki for the details.
1. Get in
Request access. When your request is accepted, create your game login on your status page, download the launcher, log in and press PLAY. On a Steam Deck or a Mac, see Playing on a Steam Deck or a Mac.
2. Your first steps
You begin in the Adventurer Training Ground, where the first monsters, such as the Pukui, are level 1. Beside Redick Dass stands the Old Maps Guide, who takes you to the restored December 2006 maps and back.
3. Choose your jobs
You start as a Novice. At job level 5 or higher, buy a new job once from a skill master's Change Job list; it comes with the job's first weapon. After that, switch between your jobs anywhere out of a fight. Each job keeps its own base level and job level. Compare them on the Jobs page.
4. Build your stats and skills
Spend points on STR, AGI, VIT, INT, DEX and LUK; every job keeps its own build (see Stats). Each new job level gives a skill point to spend in the Skills window (see Skills).
5. Hunt and loot
Where to hunt lists the maps and monsters for your level. Every monster page shows its drops with the real chance per kill, and gear drops in tiers: grey Normal, green Rare, blue Extra rare, purple Epic or gold Legendary.
6. Play with others
